FRUIT TREE GRAFTING MARCH 14 11AM

LEARN the ancient art of fruit tree grafting. You'll learn basic grafting techniques--whip and tongue, & cleft graft--using simple tools. We'll demonstrate how to attach scion wood to our existing apple trees (field grafting). Class participants will be able make their own apple tree, using provided rootstock and scion wood from Novella's orchard in Oakland.

Instructor Bio: Novella's been grafting fruit trees for the last 15 years. She has an orchard in Oakland with 20 different varieties of fruit trees.
