Winter is one of the best growing seasons in the Bay Area, if you know how to use it. In this 3-hour hands-on workshop at Urban Farm Oasis, you’ll learn what to plant now for a productive winter garden and how to protect and build your soil through the rainy season with cover crops. we'll spend some time sowing a cover crop together, so you’ll leave with the confidence to do it at home.

You’ll learn:

• Which cool-season crops to plant now and when to plant them
• How to care for your garden through the rain, cold nights, and slugs
• Why bare winter soil is a problem and how cover crops fix it
• How to choose, sow, and cut down a cover crop without tilling

No experience needed. Dress for the weather and bring gloves.
